Schools

The education level is very good. There are many kindergartens, school, colleges and universities in Bangalore. In general the expats prefer the international schools for their kids, which beside the mostly high standard of the education, equipment and facilities also follow the international curriculum to be able to easily adapt to other contries in case of transfer.

The challange is to select from the wast number of available schools and here we can help through our own experience with our kids.

Stonehill International School, Bangalore
The International School Bangalore (TISB)
Indus International School, Bangalore

Hospitals

The Indian health system is very good. The equipment is modern and up to international high end standards. The medical staff is well educated and very experienced. There are a large number of specialized hospitals, with all the necessary infrastructure.

There are of course big differences in the hospital to from high end 5 star hospitals to small medical shops. But the big hospital are spread over the city and for sure not so far from your place. The treatments are very much affordable.

The only point what surprises some new comers is the quality of the infrastructure in the hospital even the top once, where you can find tiles chipped or the chairs in the waiting are bend. Another negative point come from the traffic situation, in case you need urgent help it can be very hazardous.

Pharmacies are wide spread with long opening hours and you will get all kind of international, homoeopathic and generics.

Some top end hospitals:

Appolo Hospital
Asia Columbia Hospital
Hosmat Hospital
Mallya Hospital
Manipal Hospital
Ramaiah Hospital
Wockhardt Hospital
